Wider and more padded, the M1 saddles complete the Well family - characterized by brilliant ergonomics and comfort - enhancing the comfort level!
These two saddles are an (even) more comfortable version of a successful saddle among cyclists worldwide: the famous SMP Well! In the M1 version, the shell maintains the same length (280mm) but increases 19mm in width, going from 144mm in the 'normal' Well version to 163mm in the M1 version.
Analysis of the differences between SMP Well M1:
1. COVERING
The saddle coverings use highly resistant materials such as highly flexible SVT polymer applied by vacuum system.
2. GEL POUCH
Self-molding, the gel pouch under the covering adapts to each cyclist's anatomy. Pressure at contact points is 20% lower compared to the 'normal' M1 model without gel pouch.
3. PADDING
This is one of the brand's secrets: made from a specially spongy polyurethane with extraordinary elasticity, it maintains compression softness over several years.
4. SHELL
This is where medical studies and patents take shape: the exclusive geometry developed by Selle SMP. The saddle base is made of NYLON 12 reinforced with carbon fiber.
5. RAILS
The 7.1mm stainless steel rails have 8 cm of longitudinal adjustment and guarantee very high durability and stability.

Like any other Selle SMP saddle, each of the new models was designed and developed according to proven scientific studies, even published in the 'Journal of Sexual Medicine'. In summary, SMP saddles do not compress the most sensitive areas of the perineal zone and prevent the notorious 'numbness' and pain.
